Welcome to the Chef Kelso Culinary Institute. Of course, I do not actually operate a culinary institute; however, I do love to cook. Cooking is a simple thing. You take food and apply heat (most of the time). The heat does all of the work! But, to make great food, the devil is in the details. My plan is to teach you the techniques that will take your food from ordinary to extraordinary.
So what makes me qualified to start Chef Kelso Culinary Institute? Absolutely nothing! But, if you are looking for information to assist in you in your own personal pursuit of informal culinary education, you have come to the right place. Click around and see for yourself.
So how much does such an education cost? Well, I have spent literally thousands of dollars and thousands of hours in pursuit of my self-trained culinary education. And I offer it to you … for free. Why free? Well, I’m not giving you anything that is not already readily available. I’ve simply condensed it all into one place and laid it out in a sequence that is well suited to take you from beginner to expert. Besides, the best way to hone your skills is to practice and teach others. I do, however, work for tips.
